HTML + CSS
This weeks lecture was entertaining because is wasn’t done by the lecturer who wrote it so there were some little suprises in the content for all of us which i enjoyed. I found it hard to maintain focus because the topic was html and css which i covered in college, but it was really easy to understand, and i know my friends who have no web design knowledge got a lot from it. It was also good for brushing me up on it all as it’s been a while since i last coded a web site and i am actually quite suprised at how quick everything started to slip away, quite scary really. I feel like i’m already developing dementia.
Tut this week was good too, running us through an actual hands on html and css experience which i know from learning is really important and is the only way to make what you’ve learnt theoretically fit together. The only question that has been raised for me is when its appropriate to use ‘class’ (.) and when to use ‘id’ (#)? That’s something i’m going to look in to.
